Hello World

I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a long time. Several years, actually. Why starting now then? Because my craft is going through a chaotic but fascinating period. With the rise of agentic coding, software development is undergoing deep and (most likely) permanent changes.

I’d rather join the conversation than just watch it unfold.

Agentic coding is reshaping what it means to “code”. Our relationship with the craft is shifting; developers are increasingly positioning themselves as architects and product designers. Those meditative stretches of manual coding are growing rarer, and for much of the workforce, they may soon be gone entirely.

What strange times.

Had I started this blog a year ago, I’d probably have written about targeted technical topics: the overuse of useEffect in React projects, or materialized views in PostgreSQL and the trade-offs they involve. That alone tells you how fast things are moving! Well, I’m not ruling out that kind of content in the future. But for now, I feel like exploring things at a more meta level. Like how I completely reconfigured my dev setup so it fits better with the agentic coding paradigm, and the reasoning behind each choice.

Anyhow, here’s an official hello world for my blog. And if years go by without any post? So be it. This blog will only be dead the day it goes offline.
